Due to the compact length of the blade the 42/43 size in 37cm (14.5in) is the ideal fi n for travel and for dives in warm waters. The orthopedic foot pocket with variable thicknesses provides superior comfort. The blade is constructed of Tecralene® and Thermoplastic rubber for extended durability.
CHANNEL THRUST
Mares design is inspired by marine mammals. Channel Thrust technology maximizes the channeling of water and moves a much greater amount of water compared to other fins of the same size. The result is greater thrusting power with the same amount of effort.
SUPERCHANNEL
Latest development in Channel Thrust is the Superchannel. The blade is designed with a large flexible central Superchannel propelling water-flow more effi ciently down the fin blade instead of letting it spill over the sides for optimal performance and minimal diver effort.
MAX COMFORT
Comfort is always one of the primary design elements in Mares equipment. Mares through superior technology continues to research, innovate and upgrade your level of comfort before and during your dive. Equipment marked with Max Comfort bring this quality of comfort to the most up-to-date premier pinnacle.
IDEAL FOR TRAVEL
In today’s world of travel we are strictly confined by airline weight restrictions, therefore the design of your equipment needs to encompass elements to be travel friendly. Lightweight, streamlined, easy to pack and hassle free are just some of the elements included in the gear marked for travel.
UPPER & LOWER STABILIZERS
Vertical ribs that anchor the blade through the kick cycle to eliminate side to side wobbling effect, keeping your kicks stable and reducing power loss. Eliminates ankle-twisting phenomena.
Channel Trust Technology
When water spills over the sides of the blade, it reduces thrust, and decreases efficiency. Mares design was derived from observing marine mammals such as manatees in their natural environment. When swimming they bend their tail to form a channel, which optimizes thrust. When proper channelling occurs, all of the displaced water contributes to thrust. The "Channel Thrust" technology maximizes the channeling of water and moves a much greater amount of water compared to other fins of the same size. The result is greater thrusting power with the same amount of effort. Mares latest development in "Channel Thrust" technology is the new "Superchannel" design. "Superchannel" further increases the high performance level of Mares fins.
